Got this question from Andrew of Better Sheets, a Google Sheet enhancement Saas, who was said ” I’m doing keyword research for my google sheets tutorials, should I be doing separate searches for “google sheets” and “google sheet”. for example “google sheet tutorials” and “google sheets tutorials” and also… “google sheet tutorial” and “google sheets tutorial”
In general with keyword you don’t need to worry about including all possible variables based on pluralization.
The data that keyword research tools pull from Google will generally display the same monthly search volume metric for plural and non-plural, so you’re wasting time and possibly search credits depending on the platform. That’s not to say that EVERY keyword combination is exactly the same with and without the “s” at the end. However, this is better solved in your on-page and copywriting process itself.
Just put into practice in your copy/editorial process to include small variations as you’re writing, including plurals in addition to singular terms.
