We run a query to DataforSEO our SEO data vendor based on your “target keyword”, find the top 10 urls for your site and request the top 100 ranking keywords for all 10 of those domains. This means that the most # of keywords in any report is 1,000.
Yes, the raw data we provide includes both MONTHLY search volumes and CPC data provided by DataforSEO.
We utilized the data available through Advanced Web Ranking’s Organic CTR study to come up with “stand-in” placeholder values for each organic keyword position. Of course not every query or industry query space is uniform in how that CTR adjusts up or down, but we feel it’s a reasonable data set for estimate purposes. Clients often ask, “how would I perform” if my site was “at the top of Google” vs “at the bottom of the page”. We took the organic CTR of the top 3 ranking positions, and multiplied the monthly search volume to give you an estimate of how you’d perform if you were in one of the three spots on average. Likewise, we took the average CTR of positions 4-10 to give a ROUGH estimate of traffic for ranking out of the top 3 spots. If you want to know EXACTLY what we’d estimate for traffic for each keyword in each position, check the All Keywords * All Positions sheet!
