AI and SEO! #SEOChat

It’s important that you stay on top of changes in the always-changing field of search engine optimization (SEO). Artificial intelligence (AI) is a tool that has become quite popular with content producers and digital marketers. Utilizing AI in numerous areas of SEO may yield insightful data, speed up procedures, and improve overall efficiency.

To shed light on the best practices for implementing AI in SEO and how it may support your content optimization efforts, we will dig into the experiences and opinions of industry professionals from a recent #SEOChat session in this blog post.

Tweet from the #SEOChat discussion on AI and SEO!

When he adds, “A bit. “, Simon Cox simply sums up the core of implementing AI into SEO. Use it lightly, but when necessary for idea generation, summarizing, reworking header and description concepts, and other little things. I still desire the flying automobiles that were promised, though. This sentence emphasizes the viability of incorporating AI into particular activities while yet preserving a sense of humor.

During the #SEOChat session, the participants shared their preferred AI tools. Simon Cox mentions, “I’ve been playing with auto-generation in Google Docs, and I’ve tried the other AI tools. The best use seems to be brainstorming, like generating possible titles.” This showcases the potential of AI tools in aiding content ideation and generating attention-grabbing headlines.

Molly Youngblood emphasizes the role of AI in content creation, stating, “Asking AI to optimize content for keywords and hashtags has been my go-to strategy!” This highlights how AI can assist in optimizing content for search engines, increasing visibility and relevance.

Simon Cox reminds us of AI’s limits even if it has great potential: “Not applying it for creating materials of the highest quality since that is just not possible. High-quality information can only be obtained from a subject matter expert. AI is helpful for summarizing output, but editing it will still require human intervention. This viewpoint highlights the value of human knowledge in enhancing AI-generated content and upholding standards of quality.

Are you using AI for SEO?

A1 A bit. Not wholesale but using it for ideation, summarising, rewriting headings and description ideas and a few other bits when needed. However I still want the flying cars we were promised.

A2 I’ve been playing with auto generation in Google Docs, and I’ve tried the other AI tools. The best use seems to be brainstorming , like generating possible titles. But any statement of fact has to be confirmed, and the AI writing style tends to be overly wordy and unnatural.

A2: I’m using Chat GPT, Bard and GSE #SEOChat

I’ve also been experimenting with these three products to fact check each other to see if they produced similar or different results which have varied but continue to research how these tools could benefit SEO.

Nimble

A3 Not using it for generating high quality content because thats just not possible. The only way to get high quality content is from a subject matter expert. AI is useful for summarisingoutput but you will need a human to edit it. AI’s are not going to take over

Simon Cox

The #SEOChat participants’ points of view in the fields of AI and SEO were broad. While some questioned if AI would live up to its high promises, others noted how useful it is for generating content ideas and doing keyword research. In activities like brainstorming and performing repetitive SEO tasks, the described AI technologies, such as ChatGPT, Bard, and GSE, have shown capacity.

However, it is vital to highlight that participants understood the limits of AI in producing high-quality material. They pointed out the need for human editing and knowledge for ensuring correctness and originality. In conclusion, AI has an important position in SEO, working as a tool that can complement human efforts and improve several parts of the optimization process.

Jeremy’s Take: AI Search Reset the Race — Small Players Are Ahead

The most underrated thing about AI and SEO is that it put everyone back at the starting line. The old authority moats matter less; the ability to move fast matters more. Small businesses can ship, test, and adapt faster than the enterprise — and in AI search that speed is the advantage.

Brittany Trafis quote that AI search put everyone at the starting line and small businesses are ahead

I love AI Search for small businesses because it put us all at the starting line together. Small businesses can move a lot faster than large organizations — and they’re already ahead.
