- Do your keyword and market research, understand how visitors get converted to $ by the company (Ecommerce? Sales? Long sales funnel? Etc)
- Setup proper analytics and conversion tracking
- Talk to your customers, sales teams, gather survey data to understand the way your potential customers talk about the problem your product solves
- List out all products/services and create a sitemap structure that ensure all unique offerings get their own page, and there are proper “parent” pages for different offerings.
- Do topical research, and create a content calendar for blog type content or ongoing content creation beyond just “service pages” needed.
- Gather all testimonials, logos, testimonial videos, logos and collateral as well as client input for “About” page content.
- Have client complete a worksheet on competitors and potential “allies” aka non-competing companies who want to reach your audience as well
- Define your outreach and link building strategy
- Using keyword research build homepage, service pages and any topical content you plan to launch with day-1.
- Pre-create 1-2 months worth of topical content based on your budget for new content creation.
